Normalmente usado para cortar juntas em corredores de gavetas, divisores e o quadro ou a carcaça de uma peça. Este serrote é bem equilibrado, maleável, e escalado para cortes menores de que um serrote de espigas. A versão de cortes transversais apresenta 14 TPI, com um ângulo de 15 graus, um ângulo interno de 60 graus, dentes colocados com uma alternância de 15 graus a cada chanfro para que eles possam romper a fibra da madeira e não somente separa-la. A serra tem 16-3/8’’ de comprimento total, uma lâmina de aço de carbono de 11’’ de comprimento e 0.02’’ de espessura e tem uma profundidade de corte de cerca de 2-3/8’’.
